Attempting to migrate an Azure Database for PostgreSQL Single Server to a Flexible Server as outlined in the migration tutorial. The first step is to create the new Flexible Server using the same configuration as the existing single server. However, when selecting 'Germany West Central' as the region, the following error occurs: "Subscription XXX is not allowed to provision in 'Germany West Central'." What steps are needed to resolve this issue?

    Hi Sarah Langheinrich

To confirm whether your Azure subscription has the necessary permissions to deploy resources in the 'Germany West Central' region, navigate to the Azure portal and review your subscription's resource usage and quotas. This will help identify any restrictions or limitations that might be preventing resource creation in that region.

Check if your organization has any Azure policies that limit where you can create resources. If so, you might need to change these policies.

You can create a support ticket with Azure's Billing and Subscription Management.
