Windows Server Activation Error

Hello Friends,

Initially I installed "Windows Server 2016 Standard Evaluation" version on my server, later I purchased one WinSvrSTDCore 2016 SNGL OLP 16Lic NL CoreLic (Part No. 9EM-00652) license. 

But when I apply newly purchased license key I got an error massage as below. "This Edition Cannot be upgraded"

Pls. suggest the way to active this Windows.

Despite what the error says, this edition can in fact be upgraded, it just takes a while and requires a reboot.

Here’s how:

• Open Powershell as an administrator.
• Run the following command DISM /online /Set-Edition:ServerStandard /ProductKey:XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX /AcceptEula (substituting your product key and edition).
• Reboot when prompted.
