Windows 10 Pro for Workstations RDS support

Does Windows 10 Pro for Workstations support simultaneous remote desktop sessions (RDS) as is found in Windows Server?

Hi Tomecar,

Win 10 Pro is licensed for one user at a time. So only one RDP session can be used at a time. There may be work arounds for this, but that would break the EULA.

I know this probably isn’t the answer you wanted, but I hope it helps shed some light on it.

Thanks for the response. The features/ capabilities description of Windows 10 Pro for Workstations wasn't clear on the Microsoft website.

The link below describes the use of RDS CALs on Windows Server. We have many Server CALs but wasn't sure if they could be used with Windows 10 Pro for Workstation or solely with Server.

I understand. Natively you’re only going to get 1 RDP session into those boxes. If you try to remote in when another user is logged in it’ll alert you to the fact someone is logged in, and if you want to bump them off.

I’m sure there are ways around this, but I would not suggest breaking the EULA or tweaking your machines to get this done.

Understood. I spoke with our IT team and we'll be installing Windows Server 2016 to match up with our CALs instead. Thanks for the help.
