Got this mail Migrate to Azure Update Manager by 28 February 2025 . But not sure if we are using any of the services which will get affected .Need help to understand how to find those services and migrate them.

Hi Gubba Ajith Sai , To check if you're using services affected by the Azure Update Manager migration Check Azure Automation if you're using Update Management in Azure Automation, it needs to be migrated. Portal Verification > Go to Azure Portal > Search "Update Management" see if any resources appear. Check Log Analytics if your update management is linked to a Log Analytics workspace, check if it's in use. Use Azure Advisor it may show recommendations about migration. You received mail regarding ‘Migrate to Azure Update Manager by 28 February 2025’ this is because azure is retiring the Automation Update Management solution and replacing it with Azure Update Manager.

You can find which areas are affecting by identifying currently using Azure Automation Update Management. This can be done by checking your Azure portal for any update management solutions currently in place.

Review your virtual machines (VMs) available under Azure subscription. This includes Windows VMs, Linux VMs, on-premises environments, and Azure Arc-enabled servers.

Azure portal migration tool guides you through the migration process step by step.
If you are having particular custom settings you have to use migration runbook scripts, they allow your resources while preserving your customizations.
