I deleted my Azure MFA method, can't access my Azure portal. Can I delete my subscription?
Hi,
I have a personal Azure subscription that I can no longer access. I reinstalled MS Authenticator on my phone and had no backup to recover from. After I enter my MS user id/password, Azure insists on an Authenticator code, no other options are available. As it is a personal subscription I have no support tier, but my bank details are active and cannot control any resources I may be billed for.
Question: is there a Microsoft billing/subscriptions email I can contact to request my subscription be deleted?
I cannot:
- log into Azure
- get a new QR code for Authenticator
- change or add other authentication methods
I have tried:
- all the support pages (they all end with me trying to log into Azure)
- messaged Azure support on X (they gave me a link to support pages)
- online chat with MS support (they gave me a link to support phone numbers)
- rang support as a 'home user' (it gave me a link to support pages)
- rang support as a 'business user' (it asked for company domain, which I don't have)
I wish to either delete (easiest option) or recover access to my Azure subscription. As my billing details are in the subscription I cannot just leave it existing forever.
Many thanks.
