Issue reconnecting via RDP on Windows 11 – Stuck on lock screen

I am running a Windows 11 virtual machine on Azure and experiencing an issue when reconnecting via RDP.

After disconnecting from the RDP session, when I try to reconnect, the session gets stuck on the lock screen, preventing access. The only way to regain control is by restarting the VM.

I noticed that this issue does not occur if I log out before disconnecting, but I need the machine to keep running normally even when disconnected from RDP.

I would like to know how to resolve this issue to ensure that the VM remains accessible after RDP disconnection without requiring a reboot.

Looking forward to your guidance. Thank you!

    Hello,

It looks like a session leak. When we have this kind of issue , it's hard to find the root cause.(In business we often need to involve MS to review code. )

If you are a personal user . You can try to recall whether you have downloaded new software or do any other changes. In normal you can login locally. You can check the memory in task manager if you can find anything interesting.
