Certain groups are not displayed in Assignment Section of Intune Policy configuration

Question

I am attempting to create a Device Configuration Profiles for my network, when it comes to assigning the groups however the group I need is not listed. The group is listed as an Microsoft Office 365 group, and comes up when I search for it outside of assignment section of the Profile configuration. Why isn't it showing up?

@Clay Kolden - Security Analyst Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

Based on my research, only security-enabled Microsoft 365 Groups are supported in intune. So, the groups that you don't see may not be security-enabled Microsoft 365 Groups. Here is some information about adding a new group in intune:
