All my Workspace Favourites disappeared!

Hundreds of favourites organized across workspaces just disappeared overnight

NO the restore deleted favourite options is not available and I'm on a MAC

What am I supposed to do? How can Edge be this BAD??

Hi @Paolo Perrone ,

Edge maintains a backup of the favorites file. If you're lucky enough, you may be able to restore them. Please follow these steps:

Close Edge.

Go to your profile folder. If you are not sure about it, you can find it in edge://version (type it in the address bar) --> Profile path.

Locate Bookmarks file and Bookmarks.bak file.

Rename Bookmarks file into Bookmarks.old.

Rename Bookmarks.bak file into Bookmarks.

Launch Edge.

Now you may be able to restore the bookmarks. However, it is also possible to lose some of them or simply fail to restore them (depending on whether Edge had kept the backup before the bookmarks were gone). Good luck to you.

Thanks, I was able to follow the process, but no luck—renaming didn’t bring back my favorites.

Do you have any other suggestions? First, some of my bookmark folders in workspaces disappeared. Then, when I tried to save the remaining ones by moving them to the normal Edge session, they vanished too. I had a lot of bookmarks—theya can't just have disappeared into the void like that

Hi @Paolo Perrone ,

Are you sharing the Workspace with anyone else? If so, since the favorites are real-time sharing, it could be someone else mistakenly removing them. I'm afraid there's no other solution to recover those favorites. In case it happens again, You may keep a list of favorites at edge://favorites by exporting favorites, and import them if necessary.

Could you please perform a sync reset to see if the favorites are back? Please back up your current favorites first.

Hi @Paolo Perrone ,

I'm afraid we've tried all possible solutions to get your favorites back. Normally, favorites are kept well in Edge. I suggest exporting your favorites for backup in case of any emergency. Sorry for any inconvenience.
