The doc for Update-AzRecoveryServicesAsrProtectionDirection, at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/az.recoveryservices/update-azrecoveryservicesasrprotectiondirection?view=azps-13.2.0#parameters, says it works with plans. However, when I use a plan per the doc, I get the error "Unsupported replication provider A2A for reprotect".

    Hello Glenn Horton,

Thank you for your confirmation. As mentioned, before changing the replication direction, ensure that the VM status is "Failover committed" not "Failover completed". Please refer to the below snippet for reference.

Once the failover operation is completed, you need to commit and then you can change the protection direction (Re-protect). This process verifies the replication direction (from the secondary to the primary region) and reviews the target settings for the primary region. Any resources marked as "new" will be created by Site Recovery as part of the re-protect operation.

you can refer to the below documentation:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/powershell/module/az.recoveryservices/update-azrecoveryservicesasrprotectiondirection?view=azps-13.2.0#description

    Hope this helps!
