I'm doing AZ-204: Implement user authentication and authorization learning path now. It includes an exercise with Entra ID.

    Hello Anatoly3 Denisenko,

    Thanks for your question.

Which kind of subscription are you using?

The ability to create new tenants from the Microsoft Entra admin center is now limited to paid customers only. If you are on a free Trial, you may need to upgrade to a pay as you go subscription

    See: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/fundamentals/create-new-tenant

You can mark it 'Accept Answer' and 'Upvote' if this helped you

    Regards,

    Abiola

    Hi Anatoly3 Denisenko,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A platform.

Connect to the right Azure AD tenant corresponding to your subscription. Check if subscription is linked to multiple Azure AD Tenants. Check if you have necessary permissions to access Azure AD features and services.

In case you do not have sufficient access permissions to Entra ID, someone with Global Admin access, or any other relevant role will have to provide you access. You can request the admin of the Azure AD tenant to allocate the appropriate role to you.

You must be assigned an appropriate role to access Entra ID. These include but are not limited to:

    • Global Administrator
    • User Administrator
    • Directory Reader
    • Security Administrator

If you don’t have the appropriate role, you will have to speak to someone with administrative access in your Azure Active Directory to assign the missing role to your account.

If you have any additional questions, please let us know in the comments and share with us an error screenshot for reference purposes. We’re happy to assist further.
