Hello community, I want to migrate my Azure Resources from one region to another within same tenant. Would like to know more about tools which can help me in performing Discovery Assessment and making a smoother path for the migration?

Hello Lakhan , Welcome to MS Q&A

To assist with the discovery assessment and migration of Azure resources between regions, you can utilize the following tools:

Azure Migrate: This tool performs automated discovery and assessments of your environment, identifying blockers for migration and dependencies between servers. It also facilitates replication of data state between your on-premises source and a cloud staging environment.

Azure Resource Mover: This is a discovery tool that allows you to relocate services and data. It is currently the easiest tool to use, although it supports a limited number of services.

Visualization Tools: If Azure Resource Mover does not meet all needs, various visualization tools can help map dependencies:

    • Resource group visualizer: Visualizes connections between resources in a resource group.
      • Azure Monitor topology: Displays network dependencies.
        • Application Insights: Offers application mapping features to view the logical structure of distributed applications.

These tools collectively help in assessing, tracking, and migrating workloads effectively.
