Azure Learn Sandbox Subscription Requirement Can't Sign Up for Free Account

I was trying to run through the following Microsoft Learning Module https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/create-windows-virtual-machine-in-azure/3-exercise-create-a-vm I signed in with my account and the sandbox shows as activated.

When I go to my Azure Portal and try to create the virtual machine mentioned in the module, I get taken to the following page.

I have read other posts mentioning that I need to sign up for a subscription. Unfortunately, I already had a free account over a year ago and the process will not let me sign up for a free account.

I have verified that in the upper right-hand corner, it displays Microsoft Learn Sandbox.

What are my options?

I have another account I pay monthly for under the Microsoft 365 Business Premium license. I could use that but I would want to be sure I'm not going to inquire any charges.

    Hi Derek Engel,
I understand your frustration, and I appreciate your patience. Since your Microsoft Learn Sandbox is activated but still redirects you to the Azure subscription page, please try the following steps:

1.In the Azure Portal, go to your profile (top right), select "Switch Directory," and ensure Microsoft Learn Sandbox is selected.

2.Open the module in an incognito/private browser window, sign in, and activate the sandbox again.

3.Open Azure Cloud Shell and run az account show to check if the sandbox is set as your active subscription.

4.Clear your browser cache and cookies or try using a different browser.
If you found the information helpful, please consider acknowledging it by selecting the "Accept Answer" and "Upvote" options. We would greatly appreciate it.
