Microsoft Teams MacOS Screensharing Permission .mobileconfig

We deploy a .mobileconfig file (attached) as a custom configuration profile via Intune to our MacOS (macOS 15.3) devices to set the required privacy settings for Teams Screensharing.

We set AllowStandardUserToSetSystemService that a user can enable the Screensharing permission without admin rights.

Our issue: the user starts a Teams meeting and want to share the screen, Teams says that the required permissions for Screensharing are missing. The user can activate the toggle for Teams-Screensharing permission but it has no impact, also after a app restart

When we remove the custom config profile from the devices, we can set the sharing-rights with admin rights & screen sharing works.

Was anyone able to deploy the required settings, or is this a known bug.

@Christoph Roth Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

It is a bug. Some users may be unable to screenshare in Teams after upgrading to MacOS version 15.X.

Affected users may utilize the following workaround to re-enable screensharing:

    1. Open System Settings
    2. Select Privacy & Security
    3. Select Screen & System Audio Recording
    4. If Microsoft Teams is available on the list of applications, delete it by selecting it and clicking -.
    5. Click on + and select Microsoft Teams from the Application folder.
    6. Click on Quit & Reopen.
    7. Verify Microsoft Teams is enabled in the Screen & System Audio Recording tab.
    8. Relaunch Microsoft Teams.

If this issue still exists, please call Microsoft support to get more help.

    Thanks for your understanding.
