Sound issues (Windows 11 24H2 Enterprise)

Question

Hi, having upgraded Windows 10 22H2 Enterprise to Windows 11 24H2 Enterprise I am experiencing sound issues in both Chrome/Edge - simply volume is lower than it was on Windows 10 (same volume percentage set of course).

Today I noticed something happening before as well - while video clip was playing in YouTube, and some other tabs were opened in Edge as well, Edge crashed and after it self-recovered, volume got higher (pretty much the same level as it was when OS was Windows 10, I think) but when video clip ended volume went down again.

This is very annoying so if someone can help me out it would be highly appreciated. I have tried so many things to sort this out but in vain. It is company's laptop - Dell Latitude 5521.

1. Check and Update Sound Drivers:

Go to Device Manager.

Expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" section.

Right-click on your audio device and select "Update Driver."

Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."

If an update is found, install it and restart your computer.

2. Adjust Sound Settings:

Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Open Sound settings."

Under "Advanced sound options," select "App volume and device preferences."

Adjust the volume for Chrome/Edge and see if it makes any difference.

3. Disable Sound Enhancements:

Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds."

Go to the "Playback" tab and double-click on your default playback device.
