Can I connect a Sharepoint Intranet Document library to my Viva Engage Community site 'files' area?

We currently have a Viva engage communities site. It has lots of files in there that we want to delete as they are now out of date. We intend to just delete them all.

We have a new intranet site in Sharepoint where all of the new files are being held and they are all in a document library in 'sharepoint.com/sites/'.

Is it possible to link or sync the files in this document folder to 'files' in Viva Engage Communities?

If so, how can this be done?

If not, other than adding a direct link to the folder in the eg. 'About' is there a better way to do?

Currently, Viva Engage Communities and SharePoint document libraries don't support direct file sync capabilities. This means that you can't automatically sync files from SharePoint with the Files section of Viva Engage through built-in features.

If you want to manage files effectively, you can consider the following options:

1. Direct Link: As you mentioned, adding a direct link to the SharePoint document library in the 'About' section of your Viva Engage community is a viable option.
2. Manual Upload: You can manually upload files from the SharePoint document library to the Viva Engage 'files' area if needed.
3. Communication: Inform community members about the new location of files in SharePoint to ensure they know where to find the most up-to-date documents.
