Why Visual Studio select automatically configuration Debug on solution selection

When I open the last used solution, Visual Studio should select also the last solution configuration that I select but it always select "Debug".
I already ask the question long time ago but I don't find the solution and I'm sure it's a bug of my user preferences but I don't remember where is the file to delete...

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A! 

    You can close all running VS instances and try to delete the hidden .vs folder in your project folder.

    Then, reload your solution and check it again.
