Error when importing .csv-file to Outlook calendar

Hi!

I want to import a number of calendar events from Excel (.csv) to the Outlook calendar. I created the .csv file myself and made three simple columns to test: Subject (A), Start Date (B), and End Date (C), along with two test rows with values. In columns B and C, the formatting is date (format 2025-01-07).

When I follow the import steps, everything works until I get to “Map Custom Fields.” Here, the “Value” from my .csv file is listed as: “Subject;Start Date;End Date,” and they cannot be mapped to the different fields in Outlook. (The import is, of course, also empty when I try to run it.)

How can I get the columns separated so that they can be mapped correctly and the import works?

Thanks for the help! Oskar

P.S. I’m using classic Outlook (the import doesn’t seem to exist in the new Outlook) on my work’s 365 license. I’m at home on VPN. Note that my system settings are in Swedish so I used that in the process (Ämne = Subject, Startdatum = Start Date, Slutdatum = End Date)Skärmbild 2025-01-08 095408

    Hi @Oskar Ex

    Welcome to our forum!

Based on my research, i import the .csv file by going to File>Open&Export, Import/Export>Import from another program or file, Next>Comma Separated Values, Next>Locate the file where you saved, Next>Choose calendar(Foleder), Next>tick the box, drag and drop the corresponding options from the left to the right, and then i can import them normally.

You might want to take a look at my actions for some inspiration. More information: Import contacts from an Excel spreadsheet to Outlook - Microsoft Support (Just replace the Contacts folder with the Calendar folder).User's image Hope it helps!
