The PPT displays abnormal Microsoft Yahei font. The computer system is Win11 Professional Edition, and the office is LTSC 2021 Professional Enhanced Edition. It displays normally on other computers, but shows abnormally on my own computer. At first, I thought it was a font problem, but reinstalling the font still doesn't work, reinstalling the office software still doesn't work, and even after online repair, it still displays abnormally.

There is another strange thing, in the same PPT, there are some places where Microsoft Yahei displays normally.

In addition, on my computer, I created a new PPT and the Microsoft Yahei font displayed normally.

May I ask what the problem is and how to handle it specifically.

Thank you.

    Hi @Guoliang Li

    Happy New Year 2025~

Based on your response, it seems that you have found the key to solving this issue.

By the way, since the Microsoft Q&A community has a policy that "The question author cannot accept their own answer. They can only accept answers by others.", and according to the scenario introduced here: Answering your own questions on Microsoft Q&A, I would make a brief summary of this thread:

    Issue Symptom:

On PowerPoint for Office 2021 LTSC, Microsoft Yahei font displays abnormally on some slides. But the same slides with Yahei font displays normally on other people's computers.

    Solution:

    Disable Office hardware graphics acceleration.

    • Click on 'File' > 'Options' > '****Advanced'.
    • Under 'Display', select the 'Disable hardware graphics acceleration' checkbox and the 'Disable slide show hardware graphics acceleration' checkbox.

Click 'OK' to apply the new settings.

    Hello,

I found that your post is the same as the one posted on the Chinese version of the Q&A forum. I will translate my previous reply in English and reply here.

    • For abnormally displayed fonts, check the font name on other people's computers to see if it is also called "Microsoft YaHei".
    • Copy the abnormally displayed text box to the slides with normal display of "Microsoft YaHei" text for a check.
    • Use the Format Painter to apply the format of normal Microsoft YaHei font to the abnormally displayed text and see the result.
    • Please select and right-click on one text box includes abnormally displayed text, choose "Format Shape" to see if there are any settings under the "Text Options".
      • Check the "Text Effects" option to see if there is any setting set, such as Shadow and Glow.
      • Under the "Textbox" option, it is recommended to increase the left, right, top and bottom margins between the text and the border.
      • Set the "Do not Autofit" and then enlarge the text box.

In addition, you can select the abnormally displayed Microsoft YaHei text, click: Home > Replace Fonts in Editing group, and replace with other fonts like Kaiti.

You can also update or roll back the graphics driver of your machine.

Change the default printer (for example, select Microsoft's virtual PDF printer).
