Hi,

I like to run task schedule as current user but gpo needs to be for computer only not user as this gpo is link to computer OU only not users.

I have created task schedule and set the logged in user as %LogonDomain%%LogonUser%

also setup loopback in the computer gpo but for some reason the logon user is my admin account rather than current logon user

    Hello,

Thank you for posting in Q&A forum.

To run a scheduled task as the current logged-on user in a computer policy, you should avoid enabling the Run in logged-on user's security context (user policy option). Instead, configure the security context under which the scheduled task will run in the General settings tab when creating the User GPP Scheduled Task item. Set it to %LogonDomain%\\%LogonUser% by default.

For more details, please refer to the documents: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-server/group-policy/user-gpp-scheduled-task-item-fails-apply

I hope the information above is helpful.

    Best Regards,

    Yanhong Liu
