Mail flow rules not work with group

Hi all,

I have a mail flow rule as below

2

flexport.booking is a Mail-enabled security group synced from AD
flexport.automation is a shared mailbox
sean.thang is a user mailbox

flexport.booking can receive message from outside and all of it's member can receive message ok.
But message is not sent (bcc) to flexport.automation and sean.thang
If I replace flexport.booking by a user mailbox like jack.chuong , it works ok
This makes me suspect that the rule doesn't work with mail groups
Please give me some advice, thank you very much.

    Hi @Jack Chuong ,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A platform!

Based on your description, you are experiencing an issue where your mail flow rules are not working as expected when using mail-enabled security groups. There are a few things you can check and try:

    1. Mail-enabled security groups can sometimes be restrictive with certain mail flow rules, especially with regard to BCC. Make sure the group is configured correctly and all members have the necessary permissions.
    2. Double-check the configuration of your mail flow rules. Make sure the conditions and actions are set correctly to include the mail-enabled security group and the BCC recipients.
    3. Verify that the shared mailbox (flexport.automation) and the user mailbox (sean.thang) have the appropriate permissions to receive BCC emails from the mail-enabled security group.
    4. Since you have already tested with a user mailbox (jack.chuong) and it worked, try creating a new mail-enabled security group with some test users and see if the rule works with that group. This can help determine if the issue is specific to the flexport.booking group.
    5. If you are using Exchange Online, you may need to manage the mail-enabled security group settings through the Exchange Admin Center or PowerShell to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Please feel free to contact me for any updates. And if this helps, don't forget to mark it as an answer.

    Best,

    Jake Zhang
