Hi, I currently have a problem with sound from microphone in Teams. The microphone sound is not picked up at all in any teams meeting. I have already tried another microphone and tried changing the settings around, and nothing works. I have tried the same microphone in both other native applications and on other websites in Microsoft edge, and I get sound from my mic from all other places then from Teams. I have even tried teams directly in edge, but again here neither does Teams pick up sound from my microphone. I have tried a few things: Rebootet the PC Another Microphone Testing sound in other applications (Works every other places then Teams) Check if Teams has permissions in edge to access microphone Delete teams storage and cookies. Reset browser to factory defaults Reinstalled Edge (Removing everything) About my setup OS: Fedora 41, Desktop: Gnome 47.1, Wayland Kernal: Linux 6.11.10-300.fc41.x86_64 Teams Version: Teams Progressive Web app via Microsoft Edge (Beta And stable) Version 1415/24120100203 (TAP - C) Edge version: Microsoft Edge for Business Version 132.0.2957.41 (Official build) beta (64-bit) Audio driver: pipewire Compiled with libpipewire 1.2.7 Linked with libpipewire 1.2.7 headset: Jabra evolve2 85

Troubleshot this today. Noticed that I have no microphone for Teams in chrome-based browsers; Chromium - Version 131.0.6778.85 (Official Build) snap (64-bit) Edge - Version 131.0.2903.86 (Official build) (64-bit) Google-Chrome -Version 131.0.6778.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) I tried it in Firefox - 133.0 (64-bit) Firefox works well. Other apps on the same machine get both. Manjaro 6.6.63-1-MANJARO (64-bit)

Same issue here since start of this week, 2024-12-09. Mic shows in Teams PWA (and normal Teams webpage in Edge), but does not work. Works in any browser on other sites, even in Edge. But not in Teams in Edge. Linux Mint 21.3, Cinnamon 6.0.4, kernel 5.15.0-126-generic, X11. Edge Version 131.0.2903.86 (Official build) (64-bit), but also previous version did not work, this update did not help.

Same issue here. Tried different microphones(build-in/external/bluetooth headset), different Edge versions even on different Ubuntu releases(22.04 and 20.04) but no joy. This has to be an issue on the platform site - Teams in Edge (PWA) - because this issue started yesterday, and I haven't changed(upgraded/downgraded) anything before.

Tried with different mics, both a logitech 733 and a standard Microsoft headset, both USB based headsets so not using onboard audio. Been operating fine for years until this week.

Sama issue here, but it is further than that, it also applies to Windows machines with PWA Teams. The microphone does not work for Teams in the browser (chrome and edge) on Ubuntu and Win11x64. The native windows app works fine, but none of the browser based ones work. My permissions have been checked. Checked on two laptops, meaning 4 separate instances of operating systems and two browsers each. Everything works, but the camera and microphone

I have the same issue. My microphone wont work on teams. It works on Slack. I use ubuntu 20.04. I tried reinstalling and everything.

I encountered the same issue yesterday randomly on Ubuntu 24.04. I went as far as testing 3 different headsets. Uninstalling Teams PWA. Testing in Edge browser directly. Rolling back to MS Edge 129.0.2792.89 (which ironically brought back my ability to screen share, but no mic input). I've also tried Chromium and 2 versions of Chrome and same issue. My only true work around has been using Firefox, which seems to allow ScreenSharing and Mic input for the time being. This is def something to do with Teams and Edge(Chromium underlay).

Having the same issue on Arch Linux with chromium.
