Microsoft Edge Drop feature is missing in the Linux (.deb) version

Good morning,

I am working with the following version of Microsoft Edge on Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS.

• Microsoft Edge Version 131.0.2903.86 (Official build) (64-bit)

I am currently connect to my Microsoft account in Microsoft Edge. When trying to access the Drop feature, it is nowhere to be found. I can't see the Drop in the sidebar setting and the flag (edge://flags/#edge-drop) is also missing. Thinking this could have been cause by one a missing sync option, I have enabled the sync for Favorites and Collections in my profile to be sure that I am getting what I have saved from my iOS device but nothing i coming out.

Another strange observation about the Drop feature. When I navigate to the Microsoft web page ( https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/features/drop?form=MA13FJ ) advertising the Drop feature, the try it now button is not doing anything I would expect it to instruct my browser to open the feature.

Hi @Vince,

Per my investigation, the Drop feature in the sidebar is not available now on Ubuntu. That's why the "Try now" button does not call out the menu.

However, here's a possible workaround for you. You can navigate to edge://e-drop/ and you'll find the Drop feature opened in a new tab.

Please send feedback to the Dev Team to request the sidebar Drop feature on Ubuntu. You can send feedback in Microsoft Edge at ··· menu --> Help and feedback --> Send feedback.
