Hello,

Upgraded the configuration manager from 2303 to 2309. Below message appears in the 2 primary and one secondary site.

Site Component Manager could not access site system. The operating system reported error 2147942453: The network path was not found. Possible cause: The site system is turned off, not connected to the network, or not functioning properly. Solution: Verify that the site system is turned on, connected to the network, and functioning properly. Possible cause: Site Component Manager does not have sufficient access rights to connect to the site system. Solution: Verify that the Site Server's computer$ account has administrator rights on the remote site system. Possible cause: Network problems are preventing Site Component Manager from connecting to the site system. Solution: Investigate and correct any problems on your network. Possible cause: You took the site system out of service and do not intend on using it as a site system any more. Solution: Remove this site system from the list of site systems for this site. The list appears in the Site Systems node of the Administrator console.

Please let me know how to identify and fix the issue.

My opinion (as just another admin, I do not work for Microsoft). I suggest opening a case with Microsoft. I'm assuming you have already checked the Solution(s) listed and confirmed they are not applicable in your case. Since I suspect you may need deeper troubleshooting, the information provided is not enough to help you in a public forum like this.

I suspect you will need to open a case with Microsoft, so they can get ALL the logs, and help you identify the issue.

    Hi,

    Hope everything is going well.

1,Could we get more useful information if we click Show messages button for the warning SMS_SITE_COMPONENT_MANAGER component?

2,Please kindly help view the ConfigMgrPrereq.log, CMUpdate.log and ConfigMgrAdminUISetup.log to check if the upgrade is successfully completed.

2,Please check the SmsAdminUI.log to see if there is any error about the failed Configuration Manager console activity.

4,What version of .NET Framework is in your server? Starting in version 2303, site servers and specific site systems require Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.8. Before you run setup to install or update the site, first update .NET and restart the system.

    Hope above information helps.

    Best regards,

    Simon
