Did you get assessment failed error below ? If yes, Please share what what was the fix ?

The 0x80072EFE error on your Windows Server 2022 Datacenter VM indicates trouble connecting to Microsoft’s update servers. Try these fixes:

Check Date and Time: Ensure your server’s date and time are correct via Adjust date/time settings.

Disable Firewall Temporarily: Turn off the Windows Firewall under Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall to see if it’s causing the issue. Re-enable it afterward.

Verify Proxy Settings: Ensure no proxy is blocking updates via inetcpl.cpl > Connections tab > LAN settings. Uncheck Use a proxy server and enable Automatically detect settings.

Clear Update Cache: Stop update services, delete SoftwareDistribution folder contents, and restart services using Command Prompt commands like net stop wuauserv and net start wuauserv.

Re-register Windows Apps: Use PowerShell to re-register apps with the command:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Install Updates Manually: Download and install updates directly from the Microsoft Update Catalog

To resolve the issue with the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) indicated by the error message "The requested service has already been started" and the associated NET HELPMSG 2182, you can follow these steps:

Steps to Fix BITS Service Issues

Check BITS Service Status

Open the Services application:

Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.

Locate Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS).

Ensure its Startup Type is set to Automatic or Manual:

Right-click on BITS, select Properties, and check the Startup type dropdown.

If it’s set to Disabled, change it to Automatic or Manual, then click OK.

Restart BITS Service

In the Services window, right-click on Background Intelligent Transfer Service and select Restart.

If it fails to restart, note any error messages that may appear.

Check Dependent Services

BITS relies on several other services. Ensure that these are also running:

Remote Procedure Call (RPC)

DCOM Server Process Launcher

Windows Update

Check their status in the Services application and ensure they are set to run.

Use Command Line Tools

Run the following commands in an elevated Command Prompt (Run as Administrator) to repair system files and restore health:

bash sfc /scannow
