Basic SKU public IP retirement Databricks query

Question

With the Retirement Announcement - Basic SKU Public IP addresses will be retired on 30 September 2025 is there any change that needs to be made to Azure Databricks workers? Currently we've got a number of workers that auto scale which all use Basic SKU. Just wondering if I need to change something in Databricks to change workers to use Standard SKU instead of Basic or is this something that will be done on the MS side?

Since your Azure Databricks workers are ephemeral, managed resources, you do not need to take any action at the moment regarding the Basic SKU Public IP retirement. Microsoft handles the infrastructure management for these resources, and Databricks will automatically make the necessary adjustments to transition from Basic SKU to Standard SKU before the retirement deadline (September 30, 2025).

Therefore, there is no need for you to manually update or modify the workers at this time. The change will be handled on the Databricks side, ensuring continued service.
