Guest agent in Disabled state for VMs on Azure Stack HCI 23H2

Guest agent in Disabled state for VMs on Azure Stack HCI 23H2, tried enabling through vm configuration settings in the portal which shows as successful however in reality its still disabled

when tried validating the status got below response which is weird n confusing . Any guidance or help is much appreciated

karthik> az stack-hci-vm update --name "testwinvm06" --enable-agent true --resource-group "iplms01-azstackhcipr-rg-01"

An older version of the Arc VM cluster extension is installed on your cluster. Please downgrade the stack-hci-vm cli version to proceed.

Can you make sure you have the latest firewall requirements including endpoint https://hciarcvmscontainerregistry.azurecr.io on port 443. This endpoint is required for Azure Stack HCI Arc VM

Thank you for the response, are you mentioning to add a firewall rule from the actual deployed vm to have connectivity to https://hciarcvmscontainerregistry.azurecr.io or the Nodes of Stack HCI cluster...in any way ..validated both at the node level and the virtual machines provisioned have connectivity *.azurecr.io and was validated through test-connection.

Hey Logan, Yeah we do have all the rules in place…but its not working :( not sure what is the solution for this issue.

Did you get a chance to update the CLI Version and try the steps suggested here from 1- 6?

Hello @Karthik Chowdary Namburu

Thank you for your patience here. The error you are seeing on the below thread is because the CLI version used does not match the build version of the Azure Local Instance(Formerly Azure Stack HCI)

Please review steps 1-6 here to fix the problem. Let me know if that resolves the issue.
