When attempting to access TSI Explorer in Azure, an error message with the following text appeared: "Your selected user account does not exist in the tenant 'Microsoft Services', and therefore cannot access the application '120d688d-1518-4cf7-bd38-182f158850b6' in this tenant. This account must first be added as an external user of the tenant. Please use a different account." Even creating an external user account did not solve this issue. Any suggestions on how to fix this error?

    hwajeong lee Greetings!

"Your selected user account does not exist in the tenant 'Microsoft Services', and therefore cannot access the application '120d688d-1518-4cf7-bd38-182f158850b6' in this tenant. This account must first be added as an external user of the tenant.

This error can occur if you are trying to access the application with an account that is not associated with the tenant. To resolve this issue, you can try the following steps:

    • Ensure that you are using the correct account to access the application. Make sure that the account is associated with the 'Microsoft Services' tenant.
    • If you have already created an external user account, ensure that the account has been added to the 'Microsoft Services' tenant. You can do this by following the steps in the Azure portal to add a user to a tenant.

Also, Please refer to the resource Grant data access to an environment which provides the steps needed to provide access to a user to Time series environment.

While granting data access to the environment, you can opt either of the following roles to the user based on your use case.

    • Select Contributor if you want to allow the user to change reference data and share saved queries and perspectives with other users of the environment.
    • Otherwise, select Reader to allow the user to query data in the environment and save personal, not shared, queries in the environment.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
