Using the azure retail price API how can I get a price for a disk

I have the following JSON SKU: *github.com/Azure/azure-sdk-for-go/sdk/resourcemanager/compute/armcompute.DiskSKU {Name: *"StandardSSD_LRS", Tier: *"Standard"}, this is returned from the following API GET https://management.azure.com/subscriptions/{subscriptionId}/providers/Microsoft.Compute/disks?api-version=2021-12-01 what i want to do is get the price for this, i have tried the following https://prices.azure.com/api/retail/prices?$filter=serviceName eq 'Azure Compute' and armSkuName eq 'StandardSSD_LRS' and location eq 'westeurope' but this result is empty what am i missing ?

Determine the SKU of the disk you want to price. You can find this information in the Azure portal or by using the Azure CLI or PowerShell.
Use the Azure Retail price API to retrieve the price for the SKU. The API endpoint is https://prices.azure.com/api/retail/prices. You can use the following query parameters to filter the results:

$filter: Use this parameter to filter the results based on the SKU. The syntax for the filter is sku eq '{sku}'.
$top: Use this parameter to limit the number of results returned. In this case, you only need one result, so you can set $top=1. Here's an example of how to use the Azure Retail price API to retrieve the price for a disk SKU:

GET https://prices.azure.com/api/retail/prices?$filter=sku eq 'sku-of-disk'&$top=1

Make sure to replace `sku-of-disk` with the actual SKU of the disk you want to price. The API will return a JSON object that includes the price information for the SKU, including the currency, unit of measure, and price per unit. Thanks for coming back, based on the data I am looking for i did this https://prices.azure.com/api/retail/prices?$filter=sku eq 'StandardSSD_LRS'&$top=1 the return is

{"Error":{"Code":"BadRequest","Message":"Invalid OData parameters supplied"}}

i think this is because SKU is not a filter as per the docs, it lists the following

armRegionName

Location

meterId

meterName

productid

skuId

productName

skuName

serviceName

serviceId

serviceFamily

priceType

armSkuName have tried the call with the filter on... skuId, skuName and armSkuName none of them return a value

Did you try replacing the sku-of-disk with the actual SKU "name of the disk"?

yes this is the url I made a get request to https://prices.azure.com/api/retail/prices?$filter=sku eq 'StandardSSD_LRS'&$top=1 but like i said SKU is not a valid filter

@Kieran Pierce When you hit the prices end point without any filters, do you see it return the price for the item you are looking for? http://prices.azure.com/api/retail/prices Keep in mind there's a skip token so you might want to skim through pages for finding the item.

I have not tried, there will be millions of results I would think, i have tried with the serviceFamily set for storage and compute all regions in both cases and the SKU is not there

I will check if this is the right price, i am not sure as if i check a second disk i am looking for this time SSD the arm SKU is StandardSSD_LRS but i cant see this in the same place as the one you found, will search the price list. i now have the full list down loaded as well

I am also using this API for getting my disk price but I see in skuName they are skus as "E20 LRS" something like that.

Is there a way where I can find the mapping of this Sku Names with there disk sizes?
