    Hi,

I encountered the same issue while creating a new account at dev.azure.com. When I clicked on "Send Text" or "Call me" to receive the verification code for my phone number, I received an error on a new page stating "We're unable to validate your phone number."

To solve this problem, I discovered that the issue was due to an incorrect format or unsupported phone number. I double-checked the format of my phone number and made sure it was entered correctly.

Additionally, I ensured that the phone number I provided was supported by the platform. After verifying the above details, I retried the verification process, and this time it was successful.

So, if you encounter the same issue, I recommend checking the format and compatibility of your phone number and retrying the process.

    Hi @Toseef Ahmad ,

I understand that you are trying to create a new account at dev.azure.com and are receiving the error, "We’re unable to validate your phone number." There are a few issues that can trigger that error, so here are some troubleshooting steps to check:

    1. Confirm that you are using a valid phone number and not a VoiP.
    2. Check that your phone can receive calls or SMS messages from a United States-based telephone number.
    3. Ensure that you have included the country code.
    4. If your phone doesn't receive text messages (SMS), try the Call me option.

If your phone number does not meet these requirements, you can use another phone number to sign up.

If you still face any issues after confirming these steps, kindly let me know and provide details about your region/location.

All these facing this issue should raise it towards their cellular service provider as this seems that cellular service provider is putting the MS Authentication call on the Grey Channel and you are no receiving it.

Always the best approach is to use Microsoft Authenticator App, to setup the app visit aka.ms/mfasetup
