A Windows Service Is Started When Upgrading Windows Server AppFabric

Before proceeding, you must stop the Event Collection Service, Workflow Management Service, and Caching Service.

To stop the Event Collection Service or Workflow Management Service, proceed as follows:

  • Click Start, and then click Run. In the Run line, enter Services.msc, and then click OK.

  • If AppFabric Caching Service, AppFabric Event Collection Service, or AppFabric Workflow Management Service has a status of Started, right-click the service and then click Stop. Close the Services dialog box.

  • Click Refresh on the Platform Validation page, and then click Next to resume the setup program.

To stop the Caching Service, use Stop-CacheHost to stop a specified cache host service or Stop-CacheCluster to stop all cache host services in the cluster.
