Moving Average (Power BI Report)

APPLIES TO: Generally available in Business Central 2024 release wave 2 (version 25.1).

The Moving Average report gives a clear picture of your organization's average sales over a 30 day period. Use the report to identify key trends over a set period of time. This report focuses on the sales amount and comparing the current sales amount value against a 30 day average.

Use the report

The Moving Average report is meant to help higher level employees identify key trends and make changes based on average sales.

Sales executives need to track the moving average of key sales metrics over a specific period. You can use this report to find recent performance trends and make strategic decisions for the short-term future.

Leaders of sales departments typically want to identify which items are selling well and which aren't. This information helps you make informed decisions about your inventory management and future marketing strategies.
