Die Ausrichtung des Fotos, als es aufgenommen wurde, wie in den EXIF-Informationen (Exchangeable Image File) und in Bezug auf Zeilen und Spalten angegeben. Dadurch können Anwendungen und die Shell das Bild richtig ausrichten, anstatt die Pixel zu orientieren und das Bild in der angeforderten Anzeigeausrichtung beizubehalten, was zu einem Verlust der Genauigkeit führen kann. Diese Eigenschaft soll nicht auf der Benutzeroberfläche angezeigt werden.
