To save a certificate request to a Windows Server 2003 CA in a PKCS #10 file

Open Internet Explorer.
In Internet Explorer, open https://servername/certsrv, where servername is the name of the Web server running Windows Server 2003 where the certification authority you want to access is located.
Click Request a certificate, and then click advanced certificate request.
Click Create and submit a request to this CA.
Enter any identifying information requested and any other options you require.
Under Additional Options, select the Save request to a PKCS #10 file check box.
In the Full path name field, type a path and file name.
Click Submit. The file is saved to your computer's desktop.
If you are finished using the Certificate Services Web pages, close Internet Explorer.

Note

To open Internet Explorer, click Start, point to All programs, and then click Internet Explorer.
