Indexing Service is no longer supported as of Windows XP and is unavailable for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use Windows Search for client side search and Microsoft Search Server Express for server side search.

 

The Locale entry specifies the LCID used for the language represented by the language subkey.

Range: Any LCID made from a language identifier using the MAKELCID macro.

 

Remarks

The Indexing Service ISAPI implementation variable CiLocale selects a language subkey to use with a specific query.
