Indexing Service is no longer supported as of Windows XP and is unavailable for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use Windows Search for client side search and Microsoft Search Server Express for server side search.
The IsIndexingNNTPSvc entry determines whether Indexing Service configures itself to work with Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) messages.

Remarks
Set the value of the IsIndexingNNTPSvc entry to one to configure the catalog to work with NNTP messages. Set it to zero to bypass indexing of NNTP messages.
