Including Additional Information with Your Digital Media Files

You can make a subscription service more compelling by including metadata with your digital media files. The Windows Media Download (WMD) format enables you to do this. For example, you can use a .wmd file to distribute a virtual album that contains all of the songs from the album as packaged Windows Media files. The .wmd file could also include the album's cover art, an artist profile, liner notes, synchronized lyrics, a playlist, and links to related Web sites.
