The Bias property gets the current bias, in minutes, for local time translation on this computer. The bias is the difference between Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) and local time.
Syntax
HRESULT get_Bias(
long * plBias
);
Parameters
- plBias
[out] Reference to the current bias in minutes.
Return Value
This method returns the standard values E_INVALIDARG, E_OUTOFMEMORY, E_UNEXPECTED, and E_FAIL, as well as the following:
- S_OK
The method completed successfully.
Remarks
Bias is undefined if SupportsDST is FALSE.
All translations between UTC and local time are based on the following formula:
UTC = localtime + bias
