Description

The New-NetworkControllerBackup cmdlet backs up the Network Controller database.

Examples

Example 1: Create a Network Controller backup

$Credential = Get-Credential
$BackupTime = (get-date).ToString("s").Replace(":", "_")
$BackupProperties = New-Object Microsoft.Windows.NetworkController.NetworkControllerBackupProperties
$BackupProperties.BackupPath = "C:\backups\NetworkController\$BackupTime"
New-NetworkControllerBackup -ResourceId $BackupTime -Properties $BackupProperties -ConnectionURI https://networkcontroller -Credential $Credential

This example creates a backup of the Network Controller database.

The first command gets the credential for the current environment and then saves it in $Credential.

The second command creates a string version of the current time to use as the location of the backup.

The third command creates a NetworkControllerBackupProperties object.

The fourth command adds a path for the backup to the properties object.

The fifth command creates the backup. The command uses the specified connection URI and the items created in the previous commands.
