Hide or Show Error List When the Build Finishes with Errors

Menu:  Tools -> Options -> Projects and Solutions -> General

By default, the Error List will show when there are build errors:

You can change this behavior by going to Tools -> Options -> Projects and Solutions -> General and deselecting the "Always show Error List if build finishes with errors" checkbox:

This is a serious bug, but you can just undock the error list, resize it to minimum and place it in a corner of the active window.

Hey AP :) Could you clarify? What exactly is the bug? Z

Thank you for letting me know. I might have mistakenly unchecked that option and was facing the problem not to see the error window when there were some errors in the code.

the 'feature' AP is talking about is that unchecking the "Always show Error List if build finishes with errors" doesn't prevent the "Error List" becoming the active tab when one does a build, which is annoying when one wants to see the output window

Thanks AP for the hint how to make sure you're able to always see the Output window and thanks to neonsignal for clarifying things.
