The presented screen flow highlights the overall Groove Server 2007 Relay installation process and operations. It is best used together with the product documents including:
The process consists of 3 parts as directed by the installation wizard: install/configure the Relay, review the settings, and start/test the Relay services.

Part I: Install and Configure Relay
- Select Office Groove Server 2007 Relay to be installed. Once it finishes packaging and loading the files. The configuration wizard will start.

Server Configuration Tab
- Make sure the Relay Server Name is registered with the target DNS. The box should not have IIS installed.
- Set your passphrase followed by generating the Groove Server Relay (GSR) private key and an associated certificate.
- Notice the Administrative User Name, gsrAdmin, is a user-specified account to be created locally within Groove for GSR administration. This is not a Windows account.
- The Administrative Realm here is a user-specified identifier and not necessrily directly related to a groove domain.
- At this time, not all key files have been generated. The wizard will later prompt the user for backing up key files.

SOAP Configuration Tab
- First generate a SOAP private key and an associated certificate for the GSR.
- Recommend employing a naming scheme on all generated keys and certificate. Here a prefix, gsr, indicating the Relay server name is included in all applicable names.

| Next generate and export the ID files. Here the file, gsrServerID.xml is used to later bind with a target Groove Server Manager. |

- Pre-Authentication token is to be sent form a target Groove Server Manager for verifying an authorized user during the initial connection request of an account configuration process.

Part II: Review Configuration
- Upon a successful installation, a Groove Relay applet is placed in Control Panel.

- Review settings at this time and make changes as necessary before starting the Groove Relay service.
- If a private key is changed, all related certificates must be regenerated. Consequently the existing trust relationship, i.e. binding, between a Groove Server Manager and Groove Server Relay pair needs to be re-established.

- Set Groove Relay service to start automatically and start the service.
