Same here is there a way to do this without ESX servers installed? I have a vmdk image from VirtualBox that I need to convert.

I'm trying to convert my Vmware Player VMs to Hyper-V on Win8. Any tool for that? MVMC wants to connect to an ESX server and that's not my cenario here.

You can use a CMD command, and u dont need the ESX server. Example.... in c:Program FilesMicrosoft Converter Accelerator..... MVDC.exe c:source.vmdk c:destination.vhd... Works like a charm ;)
