Delicious Demos

One of the Xbox LIVE Gold advantages is that we get our game demos a week early, and with the Xbox LIVE Marketplace scoring exclusive demos like nobody’s business, that’s one hell of a bonus.

This week I’ve run through the X-Men Origins: Wolverinedemo a couple times already. I’m loving it, it’s just good, bloody fun. Reminds me of a slightly less sexy Ninja Gaiden, with similar feeling button combos and maneuvers. Check out Treit and True’s preview for a more in-depth look at the game.

Along with that, I had a chance to take a look at the Battlestations: Pacific demo that went up last week. I loved firing the Anti-Air canons aboard the ship, then taking to the skies went pretty smoothly as well. It’s a lot more difficult than I’m used to, no wicked midair E-brake maneuvers like H.A.W.X, if you want to get behind an enemy plane, it’s difficult.
