Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – David Starr

This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. SeeRanger Index (Who is Who?)for more details.

Who you are?clip_image001

David Starr, an ALM and agile fanboy with deep roots in the Microsoft ALM community. I was an MVP for a while, a blue badge for a while, and now am Scrum.org trying to improve the professional of software development.

What makes you “tick”?

Forgetting my meds, Conway's Law, and a deep seated passion for the craft of software development.

Where you live?

Sammamish WA.  Very near Microsoft campus. I work in an office out of my back yard that has a great fold out couch in it, so if you need a bed near campus for a night, come crash in my shack.

Why are you active in the Rangers program?

I understand the impact that can be had by contributing to the work the Rangers do. I'd like to be a part of that. The Rangers reach a lot of people with guidance and expertise that is sorely needed by people trying to solve real problems in moving their organizations forward.

What is the best Rangers project you worked in and why?

I haven't yet, but hope to contribute soon. I have given feedback on multiple Ranger projects in year's past, however.
