Introducing the Visual Studio ALM Rangers – Chris Boretos
I started my career at Microsoft as a SDET for 6 yrs, then for 2yrs a SWE, and now a consultant in MCS.
What makes you “tick”?
I have worked as a SWE where I have not only been delivering features but building out an entire CICD process. Where I have implemented a Gated checkin process that builds, runs unit tests, deploys, and runs test automation in TFS and VSTS. The team I worked on where I first built out the CICD process, the impact to the quality was so positive that I began giving demos and talks about how others can learn from the experience and replicate the results. Now I have moved to MCS and see that even unit testing is questionable. I want to bring MCS to the same quality and delivery speed that I have brought to my product teams not only because it’s a great way to get things done but because I believe in Microsoft and I want to show how we can be leaders in this area.
Where you live?
I live in the DMV, DC – Maryland – Virginia area.
Why are you active in or with the Rangers program?
I want to spread the ALM process with other teams to help them become more successful.
This post is part of an ongoing series of Rangers introductions. SeeRanger Index (Who is Who?)for more details.
