Looking at Hyper-V Event Logs with PowerShell
One of our Hyper-V MVPs, Brian Ehlert, has done a great blog post about using PowerShell to inspect Hyper-V Event logs. You can read all about this here:
https://itproctology.blogspot.com/2012/02/skimming-hyper-v-service-event-log-with.html
This is something that I have been meaning to post about for a while now, but as Brian has beaten me to it – I thought I would just link to his information instead!
Cheers,
Ben

In addition to CLI, you can also use this GUI utility which works on Server Core: www.nirsoft.net/.../my_event_viewer.html It doesn't know about all the new Event Logs features, but can still be useful for some cases and easy to use. This is bundled in CoreShell.iso yizhar.mvps.org/.../index.htm
