How to setup a Bluetooth Activesync Partnership with a Computer running the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack

This config works with all Pocket PC phones:

Go to Control Pannel –> Bluetooth Local COM -> Check to see what COM port Local COM-Server (Serial Port) is assigned to, in this case it is mapped to COM1.

Open Active Sync and go to File -> Connection Settings -> Set Allow connections to COM 1 or what ever com port it is mapped to on your Laptop

Set up a partnership between your Smartphone/ PocketPC phone and the Laptop and you should see Activesync as a service on the device.

This helped me get my ppc-6700 synced with my new dell precision m65. Previously, I had an Inspiron 8600c, and used the widcomm stack.

    Kudos!

I would like to point out that not all devices are compatible, i have a Qtek 9100 and although i can make a partnership with the laptop, when i go to active sync on laptop i get no partnerships, however i set the connections to allow to this  and set the port the same as on the device, nevertheless when i actualise on the device it only gives the service as series port and not active sync Why is This? I am sure sloving the solution will let the device work.
