Hello Microsoft Cloud Partners,

I know many of you are excited about the new Cloud PBX service that is included in the Office 365 E5 plan and can be added on to existing E1 and E3 Plans.

Cloud PBX is Microsoft's technology for enabling call control and PBX capabilities in the Office 365 cloud with Skype for Business Online.  With Cloud PBX, users can use Skype for Business Online to take care of basic call control tasks, such as placing and receiving calls, transferring calls, and muting and unmuting calls.

Cloud PBX can then be paired with a PSTN Calling Plan to replace an organization’s phone system.  Users can make/receive phone calls to/from cel phones and landlines, from all Skype for Business devices, including desktop phones, PCs, and mobile devices.

We received overwhelming feedback that in addition to the current feature set for Cloud PBX (see Here's what you get with Cloud PBX for full details), customers also need support for Auto Attendant and Call Queues, and we recently announced these two features available in Preview.  If you haven’t signed up yet, please sign up for the Preview at www.skypepreview.com.

Cloud PBX Auto Attendant is an intelligent virtual receptionist that helps callers navigate the system with interactive prompts, while Call Queues provides a mechanism to offer a single call to multiple Skype for Business Online users at the same time.

I want to make you aware of some new training that just became available around Auto Attendant and Call Queues.  It is intended to help you learn what the functionality can do, what the user experience is, and how you can configure it.  It can be accessed at https://www.skypeoperationsframework.com/Academy?TechnicalProductTrainings.  There are also PPT decks you can access at OrgAA Dec 2016.pptx and Call Queues Dec 2016.pptx.

For more information, and for tentative release dates, see the community post Cloud PBX Auto Attendant & Call Queues Update.

Thanks for reading and hope this information is helpful!
