See your Calendar in a different light
Calendar out of control? Frustrated that the 28 hour day still hasn't been introduced? Wondering where all the time went?
Well join the club and stop whingeing! I don't know how to put more time into every day, but I do know a handy way to make your calendar look a little less daunting.
Download the new Calendar Views add-in for Outlook 2003 from https://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=4D6D2FF3-6DA8-4B4B-A84C-BCD83AD985F0&displaylang=en. It's completely free (and unsupported by Microsoft) and allows you to filter your view of your Outlook Calendar appointments based on Outlook labels and categories. Quite a useful tool if you want to just see appointments related to a certain project or with a certain category. Handy too if you want to show your partner how frantically busy your diary is without letting her see that you've really spent most of the week down the pub with your mates!

I was forcibly reminded yesterday that many aspects of software that we consider intuitive and automatic are actually cultural, and have nothing whatever to do with GUI design.Anonymous
