21st century air travel will be more revolutionary than the 20th century. The key challenge is environmetnally-friendly aircraft - quieter, cleaner and cheaper than ever before. Wind forward the clock 45 years to 2050 - what will Heathrow airport look like? What will the aeroplanes taking-off be like. Will you be able to hear them at all?

You're the ones with the answers, as by then it could be you at the computer designing these futuristic aircraft. Seem like a long way off? Well we can give you a preview of what it will be like. The Future Flight competition will allow you to design tomorrow's airliners today - all on the website.

It's free to sign-up and there are some cracking prizes on offer. We'll show you exactly how to design an airliner, and then you can put futuristic mods to see if you can make it as green as possible. You'll be able to calculate air fares, and see how kind your creation is to the environment. Sound good?

The competition started on 8th April 2005, with finals at the end of June 2005 .
