Microsoft Unveils Windows Mobile 6.1

Windows Mobile 6.1 has been announced today.

The new release provides you with a range of new features designed to help you manage your life and stay connected wherever you are.

These features include access to the most critical information at a glance, quicker phone setup, and enhanced features adapted for the small screen.

With 6.1 you can respond to notifications such as missed calls, view upcoming appointments and new messages from the home screen as well as play music and share photos. 

It's easier to set up e-mail, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices and it includes a range of tools designed to make the management of messages and conversations faster and easier.

In Ireland, Meteor, O2 and Vodafone have announced their support for new Windows Mobile 6.1 devices.
